Testimonials
CERTEK Heat Machines boast on their fast and efficient service. We boast on our experienced and well trained employees. When this really shows is when disaster hits. When you need heat and you need it RIGHT NOW!
This is what happened in Grand Junction, CO in November 2007. Over the weekend of November 17, a drain valve failed in the boiler room of the Grand Junction High School. All of the boilers, electrical gear and associated systems were completely inundated beneath eight feet of water.
November in Grand Junction means that you need heating and you need it now! This is when CERTEK Heat Machines was called upon. When our technicians arrived at the site of the school they estimated what was needed and how it should be done. In no time our units were hooked up to the existing heat distribution system and were replacing the boilers that had been under water. For three weeks CERTEK Heat Machines supplied heat to the entire building and as a result of the team work between CERTEK and the school maintenance department, the students of this school only lost eight days of school. Following letters underline that we can do, what we tell our customers we are able to do!
Mark:
Over the weekend of November 17, a drain valve failed in the boiler room of Grand Junction High School. All of the boilers, electrical gear and associated systems were completely inundated beneath eight feet of water.
When this was discovered on November 18, it was unknown how long the building would be without heat and electricity, and alternate plans to continue classes off-site were being formed. Anytime there is a disruption of this magnitude to the curriculum, student learning is compromised, and as a school district committed to the education of all students, these types of alternate plans are not what we like to see happen.
I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank you and CERTEK for the role you played in helping us achieve the nearly impossible. By having the rapid response and support from your team, we were able to resume classes after missing only eight regular school days. It could easily have been weeks or months. Through the efforts of your crew, and the quality of you equipment, heat was restored to the building in record time.
Again, I thank you for your efforts.
Sincerely,
Cal Clark
Director of Maintenance and Operations
Dear Calvin,
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for the tremendous effort and support we received through Certek Heat Machine to turn around the catastrophic event at Grand Junction High School. When I first surveyed the damage on Sunday, November 18, I had no idea of the extent of damage we received. When Cal Clark informed me on Monday that we had lost our electrical system, heating system, and domestic hot water, I began to understand the true catastrophe we were facing.
To see the transformation that occurred within the next 14 days was truly a "teamwork effort" that could not have happened without your leadership and wisdom along with your team's experience base and commitment to solve our problem. As every day is critical for student learning you were able to restore GJHS to warm and inviting climate in just two weeks.
Along with our Superintendent, Dr. Tim Mills, the Board of Education, GJHS Principal Jon Bilbo and the 1695 GJHS students and 185 GJHS staff members, I want to thank you for your commitment to complete an impossible challenge with an attitude and belief that it could be done. Have a wonderful Holiday Season,
Sincerely,
William P. Larsen
Executive Director of High Schools
